“The Cylindrical vessels are created seamlessly, With no critical thinking, the characters are able to form themselves. The shapes, faces and emotions they display are born together unintentionally allowing me to switch off from my conscious mind. When working with clay I feel there is no pressure to perform, and the art creates itself. The pillars are all individually a representation of the women in my life, those who have played a role in the person I have become, the influence on which they have on me, and those who have contributed to my being alive today.:

"In 'The Weight of Womanhood', Jasmine Jagger invites us to momentarily set aside the often unspoken burdens of being a woman. Each ring holder in this series symbolizes a sanctuary, a place where one can unburden themselves of the symbolic weights carried in daily life. These intricately designed pieces are not just about the physical act of removing a ring, but a deeper gesture of releasing the societal expectations and personal pressures that women shoulder. Through this act, Jasmine's work offers a moment of respite and reflection, encouraging a reconnection with oneself beyond the roles and responsibilities that define womanhood. 'The Weight of Womanhood' is an artistic ode to the freedom found in these small, yet significant, acts of letting go."
