SCULPTURE
With sculpture, I found the twisting of wires and the compressing of materials cathartic, an almost intense release of emotion . I wanted to create a story that could be viewed from all angles . Thought provoking shapes and uncomfortable compositions that allow the viewer to construct their own opinions and thoughts on the subject matter . In sculpture, I was able to overcome a sort of metaphorical anguish that I felt had a tight hold on both my conscious, and subconscious mind, allowing me the space and freedom to explore childhood traumas without the grip societal shame . ” Jasmine Jagger, 2022
